Yes. The NGZ-1 ships with a primary 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD. The chassis also includes a free 3.5 inch SATA III bay and a free 2.5 inch SATA III bay for adding more local storage.

No. The core daily experience is designed to run locally. Ollama, local AI models, Kiwix-based knowledge archives, and media services operate on the unit itself while client devices connect through the local network.

Yes, optionally. Our philosophy is offline first, not offline only. When customers choose to connect the device, internet access can be used for updates, new AI models, fresh map data, new knowledge archives, backups, synchronization, and future downloadable modules. The internet enhances the experience, but it is not intended to sit between the customer and core daily operation.

Yes. Because the model runs locally on the internal NVIDIA GPU, your prompts, documents, and chat history never leave the system. There are no telemetry trackers, remote cloud logging, or API subscriptions.

When connected to a network by choice, updates can be pulled automatically or manually. For stricter offline environments, USB-delivered updates and offline data packs can keep the system current without turning cloud dependence into a requirement.

The retail price is targeted at $649. Early Kickstarter backers will receive special early-bird pricing for the inaugural batch of hand-assembled, burn-in tested units. Batch #1 units are estimated to ship within 6 to 8 weeks following campaign completion.

Every NGZ-1 system ships with dual high-gain Wi-Fi antennas, a heavy-duty AC power cable, a Mini-DisplayPort to HDMI 4K adapter, a laminated quick-start guide, and a USB factory restore key.

The NGZ-1 appliance is built on top of the open-source Project Nomad software stack under the Apache 2.0 license. We build the integrated product experience around it by handling hardware selection, thermal optimization, GPU drivers, local networking, content preparation, and quality assurance.
